‘Little Alpine at Three Compasses’ is a wonderful gastro pub, where you can enjoy the freshest of cask ales, cool beers and a range of cocktails. Sit down and relax in Hertfordshire’s rural countryside.
On a cold night the roaring fire will warm you from the outside whilst our food will warm you from the inside. In the finer summer months we have beautiful gardens with tables which are perfect for alfresco dining.
We welcome and try to accommodate walk-ins, however bookings are preferred and will guarantee a table. We don’t take bookings for the bar.

Our food is freshly cooked on the premises with history steeped in fine dining, great British pub food of the highest standard with an Italian influence and served with warm hospitality.
We serve brunch, lunch and dinner.
Sit in any of our cosy areas such as “Little Snug” or “The Boardroom” or even enjoy a glass of wine in “The Snug” or take a seat in “The Restaurant” area. Either way we are sure you will enjoy our ambience and feel relaxed whilst enjoying our delectable menu offering.

Traditional roast sirloin of beef, free range roast chicken and golden, crispy Yorkshire puds.
Private parties
We can offer the perfect private space to host you special celebration, business lunch or other group dining event.
We can also provide outside catering events in conjunction with Sainlo Events.
